Basic Intensive Spanish is designed to enable students with little or no previous knowledge of Spanish to complete three semesters of college Spanish in five months (eight credits at Bard and four credits in Mexico during the January intersession). Students attend eight hours of class per week plus two hours with a Spanish tutor. Oral communication, reading, and writing skills are developed through a variety of approaches. Study at Bard is followed by four weeks at the Instituto Cultural de Oaxaca in Mexico.

Oaxaca, Mexico — Instituto Cultural de Oaxaca

    Language Tutor: Spanish tutoring is available each semester. Please contact the program for more information.
    Language Table: Wednesdays, 12:00–1:30 pm on Zoom
    Join the weekly Spanish table to talk about matters related to the Hispanic culture. Also for those pupils who want to put their Spanish into practice in an informal environment.
